Ocean Engineering

Copper alloy has good resistance to seawater corrosion and Marine biological fouling, and has been widely used in Marine engineering. The research on corrosion behavior and protection technology of copper alloy in seawater is particularly important for the development of Marine engineering, exploitation of Marine resources and improvement of Marine economic benefits. In the natural seawater environment, the influencing factors of copper alloy corrosion include: the type of copper alloy, different sea areas, seawater flow rate, pH value and microorganisms. In order to improve the corrosion resistance of copper alloy and prolong its service life in seawater, the main protective measures are: electrochemical protection, coating, surface coating and corrosion inhibitor.
